Summary: Vampire Survivors has just released a free update featuring the Ante Chamber expansion, inspired by the indie hit Balatro. This update adds a new stage, characters, power-ups, and online co-op (except on mobile), enriching the top-down rogue shooter experience with fresh gameplay elements and Balatro’s unique card-themed mechanics.

New Ante Chamber Expansion Brings Balatro Flair

The Ante Chamber expansion introduces a brand-new stage filled with playing cards, capturing the essence of Balatro’s card-based gameplay. This fresh environment invites players to dive deeper into the game’s rogue shooter action with a thematic twist that fans of both games will appreciate.

What’s New: Characters, Power-Ups, and More

Among the new additions are characters like the iconic joker Jimbo, along with new power-ups and weapons inspired by Balatro. These include jokers that boost point combos, mirroring the card game’s mechanics, and creative adaptations of Balatro’s planet cards. These features add exciting layers to Vampire Survivors’ gameplay, making each run feel unique and engaging.

Availability and Platform Updates

The Ante Chamber update is available now for free on Steam, Android, iOS, PS4, and PS5. It will arrive on Nintendo Switch and the Epic Games Store on October 31. Although initially expected on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S alongside other platforms, the update was delayed for Xbox. Poncle, the developer, apologized for the delay and confirmed that the update will launch on Xbox as soon as certification is complete.

Online Co-op Joins the Fun

Beyond the Balatro-themed content, this update also introduces online co-op play, allowing friends to team up and survive together. However, this feature is not yet available on mobile devices. Alongside co-op, the update brings new stages, characters, weapons, and more, ensuring plenty of fresh content for players to explore.
